Year 1

Welcome to Year 1, where your child will continue to build on the learning foundations that they secured in Reception.

We aim to provide a happy and secure learning environment where all children are encouraged to try their best and reach their full potential. Both classes have access to a shared outdoor area, which encourages learning both inside and outside the classroom.

As a team we endeavour to make the transition from Reception to Year 1 as smooth as possible. The year starts with a Reception based approach and then moves towards a more structured Year 1 curriculum by the Spring Term.

It will be a pleasure to watch your child grow and mature during the year, and the learning journey they make is always amazing.
