Year 6's Visit to Birmingham Cathedral
29 Sep
Today, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a fascinating visit to Birmingham Cathedral (St Philip’s Cathedral). Mr Williams had the pleasure of accompanying one of the groups and was extremely proud of the way our children represented the school.
During their visit, pupils learned about the rich history of the cathedral and explored different aspects of Christianity, helping to deepen their understanding of beliefs, worship and religious traditions. The children asked some excellent questions throughout the day and showed great respect, curiosity and maturity.
We would like to thank the volunteers at St Phillips for showing us around and for answering all of our questions.
This visit forms part of the Colmers Farm Primary School Guarantee, which ensures that all pupils from Years 2 to 6 visit a different place of worship each year. These valuable experiences support learning in RE, while helping children to develop tolerance, respect and understanding of the beliefs and cultures of others. This is also part of our No Outsiders ethos at our school.
