The ability to read, write and analyse; the confidence to stand up and demand justice and equality; the qualifications and connections to get your foot in that door and take your seat at the table - all of that starts with education.

Year 5 and 6 Residential

10 Nov

A residential experience opportunity, for our Year 5 and 6 pupils, is now a permanent feature on the Colmers Farm calendar. There are many words which could be used to describe the experience had by our Years 5 and 6 pupils at Boundless Outdoors.  If it could only be summed-up in three words though, then they would have to be: joyous, challenging and memorable. It was an exhilarating and pleasurably exhausting three days for our pupils with a wonderful variety of activities which tested them, skilled them and developed their abilities to work as a team. From climbing walls, to zip wires, to navigating in the dark and relying on each other for support on the crate towers, the days were full to the brim and left our pupils with a great sense of achievement.  New friendships were created alongside the new memories. Hopefully, it has also inspired our pupils to keep active and encourage a future hobby off the back of what they have experienced on the residential. A time never to be forgotten and looked back at in years to come bringing a great sense of warmth.
