The ability to read, write and analyse; the confidence to stand up and demand justice and equality; the qualifications and connections to get your foot in that door and take your seat at the table - all of that starts with education.

Accelerated Reader Competition Winners

1 Oct

As Doctor Seuss said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Reading is an activity that we highly value at Colmers Farm Primary School. It is such an important activity for children (and adults) to regularly take part in. Tuesday this week marked the end of our Accelerated Reader competition, where we challenged everybody in KS2 to read as many words as they could in a week. Well done everybody who took part in this competition and particularly to our four winners who were:

* Hayden in 3H

* Hao Lin in 4J

* Darcie in 5A

* Rubenn in 6B

Collectively, our four winners read over 1 million words. WOW!
