Year 2's Visit to Weston Super Mare

Last year, Mrs Young and Mr Williams found two old books kept by the first headteacher of Colmers Farm. In these books, he documented all of the key events which happened in our school. One of these events was Colmers Farm's first ever trip to Weston Super Mare in 1948. This must have been a fabulous trip for these children, who had only a few years earlier endured the traumatic events of WW2.

77 years later our Year 2s repeated this very exciting visit to Weston-Super-Mare! As part of their 'Seaside Holidays' topic, they visited the beach and looked at how it has changed over time. Both classes had a great day building sandcastles, eating ice lollies, and enjoying the sunshine. The children had the most fantastic time creating memories they will remember forever. All the staff were very proud of how sensible and mature they were; they were a credit to our school.
